Easy Tiger Productions today announced the appointment of television executive Rob Gibson to the role of CEO/Producer. Rob is a dynamic leader with both local and international production and financing experience and is uniquely placed to drive the strategic direction of Easy Tiger.
With continued local and international success, the appointment of Rob is a strategic decision to bolster the Easy Tiger executive team and create opportunity for current Managing Director and prolific producer Ian Collie to focus more on the creative processes. Easy Tiger’s slate includes critical and commercial successes Rake, Doctor Doctor, Jack Irishand Sunshine.
Rob’s focus will be on assessing potential finance models for drama production with an eye on international partners and collaborations. His trusted experience across the creative, production and deal-making of television will enhance Easy Tiger’s ability to secure finance and commissions. Rob’s ability to deliver quality drama is exemplary.
Rob was most recently the Head of Originals at Stan where he oversaw the commission and production of No Activity, Wolf Creek and Stan’s most recent success, Bloom, among others.
Prior to Stan, Rob worked as a producer in Los Angeles and Sydney for production company Circle of Confusion (Straight Outta Compton, The Walking Dead) and as an independent producer in Australia. Prior to this he was a media and entertainment lawyer, working for Allens Linklaters, Foxtel, Festival Records and Fairfax Media.
